Terms of Service & Liability Disclaimer
1. Services
Freedom Theory, published by justrunthatshit.com (“we”, “us”), provides:
- free published behavioral research, methodology, and raw data, including the DeepSeek monitored-vs-unobserved audit (report v1.0: 30% median drift, 20% stable core, 35% upper range);
- a paid one-off Private Behavioral Audit ($199);
- a Governance Program ($999/month); and
- related advisory, custom scenarios, and licensing where separately agreed.
The public website does not collect API keys. Keys for paid engagements are handled through a separate secure handoff after payment, as described in section 6.
2. No warranty; not professional advice
All outputs, reports, numbers, data, and recommendations are provided “AS IS” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Freedom Theory and all scenario results are research instruments — not legal, regulatory, medical, or safety certification, and not a compliance certification for any model, vendor, or deployment. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for deploying models in high-stakes environments.
Published research is produced with AI-agent assistance and is released for independent verification. We do not warrant that any result will be reproduced exactly; temperature 0 is not bitwise deterministic, and model providers can change serving paths or model versions without notice.
3. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the audits, reports, dashboards, data, or instrument; decisions based on outputs; model behavior differing from audit observations; or loss or exposure of keys or prompts. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the preceding 12 months (or $100 if you paid nothing).
4. Your responsibilities
You must have all rights to the models, keys, prompts, and data you submit. You are solely responsible for the legality, ethics, and consequences of the scenarios you run and for any deployment, procurement, or governance decision you make. You agree not to use the service to violate law, infringe rights, or conduct unauthorized testing of systems you do not own or control.
5. Payments, refunds, cancellations
- One-off Private Behavioral Audits are non-refundable once the run has started or the report has been delivered.
- If we cannot run your audit for a technical reason on our side, we will re-run it or refund the fee.
- Governance Programs may be cancelled with 30 days' notice; fees already incurred are not refundable.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store full card details. Prices are in USD and may change for future engagements; the price shown at checkout applies.
6. Keys and data handling
For paid engagements, you consent to us processing your API key, prompts, and model responses solely to generate your ordered audit. Keys are transferred through a secure handoff after payment, are not collected through a web form, and are deleted after delivery unless you agree to longer retention. We do not train on, sell, or resell your private audit data. Published research data is separate from private client work; private audit outputs belong to the paying client upon delivery. We do not publish client work, client data, or client model names without approval.
7. Intellectual property and data licensing
Published reports and open data are released for independent verification and replication with attribution to Freedom Theory / justrunthatshit.com. The site design, Freedom Theory framing, and proprietary scenario and report generators are our intellectual property. Private client audit outputs belong to the paying client upon delivery, subject to the limitations in these terms.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of the service, your models, your prompts, or decisions based on our reports.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at tim@justrunthatshit.com and attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith.
